Forgive

    Bio: Became an ordained minister in 1961. He is a leading voice against apartheid. Received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984.
  2. Dalai Lama
    "I believe one should forgive the person or persons who have comitted atrocites against onself and mankind."
    Bio: Spiritual leader of Buddhist around the world. Advocates non-violence in the face of aggression. Received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989.
  3. Matthew Fox
    "One should forgive... out of the need to be free to get on with one's life.
    Bio: He is the president of the University of Creation Spirituality in Oakland, California. Has written books on spirituality. Was a Catholic priest, but is not an Episcopal priest.

Not Forgive

  1. Albert Speer
    "No one is bound to forgive... every human being has his burden to bear, no one can remove it for another.
    Bio: He was a high-ranking Nazi. Admitted responsibility for his actions in World War II and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
  2. Harry Wu
    "I would not have forgiven the Nazi soldier on his death bed."
    Bio: He was imprisoned by the Chinese communist government for 19 years. Has written several books about the harsh conditions in China.
  3. Harold S. Kushner
    The Nazi Soldier's "plea for forgiveness was addressed to someone who lacked the power (let alone the right) to grant it."
    Bio: He is a Rabbi in Massachusetts and author of several books.
